Insurance

All our live funk, soul and Motown bands will have Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and a portable appliance tested (PAT). All our wedding bands can provide these for the venue if it is required.

How long will a soul band perform?

The standard set times for a soul and funk band will be 2 x 60 minutes with around a 20-minute break in between. Most soul and Motown bands will also provide a free DJ service. Prices will include a 6 pm arrival to a midnight finish. Set up time approx 90 minutes.

Do Soul-Motown bands provide the equipment?

A professional band will be self-contained with a PA and lighting for the performance area.

Space required?

Depending on the line-ups, a 4-piece band would need around 4m x 4m. This space is required, for PA equipment, instruments, and any lighting. Check the venue has enough space before booking any Soul band, and 13 amp plug sockets are available to plug in the equipment.

What will I need to provide?

Soft drinks, and water, plus a buffet-style meal, would be appreciated by the musicians if it is for a wedding, as it will be a long day for them. Check that they can park vehicles in close proximity to the venue. If you are having an event outside, your Soul band will need cover, and an electrical supply. Always check the venue for a sound limiter as it may dictate the wedding band you can hire.

Can the band learn a new song?

Yes, for your first dance or for any special celebration.

Do the band have replacements if needed?

All our bands will have a replacement musician to cover any band member that can not make the day of the event.

How do I hire a soul Band?

Hiring a band through our entertainment agency is simple. Once you have picked your funk, soul and Motown band, we will ask for a deposit to secure your band. A contract will be issued for you and the band for peace of mind. Final payment of the outstanding balance will be required 7 working days before your event.
