“Dear Valeria,
Thank you so much for performing so wonderfully last night. I really meant it when I said that it was beyond perfect and I can’t tell you how very grateful I am to you for helping to make the event so incredibly special and memorable for our guests.
It really was such a joy to listen to such a fabulous and professional performance, which was beyond anything I could have hoped for.
It was so obvious how much the guests enjoyed listening to you, and I’m so pleased they all wanted to thank you personally afterwards!
We run so many events here and they can sometimes all start to blend into one, but last night will always really stand out for me as one of the most special I’ve had the pleasure of working on”

Wedding Harpists – Their Music and Why It’s Perfect for Weddings

For an extra special touch of elegance on your wedding day, why not consider a harpist to create an unforgettable soundscape? Wedding harpists can add just the right atmosphere and emotion to any ceremony or reception, making them a great pick for a truly memorable celebration.

What makes harp music unique?

One of the reasons wedding harpists can make such an impact is the unique sound of their instruments. Harps are stringed instruments which create delicate and soothing music that can fill any room. The strings evoke peace and tranquillity that will envelop your special day, providing gorgeous background noise to the events following countless years of tradition.

What kind of repertoire do wedding harpists play?

Wedding harpists often have a large repertoire of music, including classic songs such as “Canon in D,” by Pachelbel, traditional folk tunes, and even modern hits. A talented wedding harpist can personalize their selection according to the couple’s preference. Some harpists also offer collaborations with other instruments or solo singers, which can help ensure that your wedding ceremony goes off without a hitch!

How different cultures have seen the value of the harps in their ceremonies

Harps have been used in different cultures for centuries to bring joy, beauty and a sense of ceremony to special occasions such as weddings. From the ancient Egyptians who believed in its spiritual qualities, to the Celtic Knotwork designs that run through Irish culture – these stringed instruments possess an enduring power and beauty that cannot be denied. Harp music has also been looked at more broadly, as both Chinese and Islamic cultures have seen the value of appreciating its unique sound when used at important life events.

Ideas for items that can be included in a wedding harpist’s performance

Most harpists will be able to provide you with a selection of pieces, both traditional and modern, for your wedding ceremony. Some suggestions for included performances include romantic classics such as ‘Ave Maria’ or instrumental renditions of popular love songs. For the reception, more upbeat pieces like classical favourites or popular tunes. Wedding harpists can even work with you in sourcing a favourite piece if requested in advance – perfect for adding a special touch to your day!
