Reviews

The Collective are one of the best bands to grace my stage in the last 5 years. Fact. Cath, as with most great, ‘small’ singers has a power that belies her size and blows your socks of when you first hear her, combined with a control and vocal range that are truly impressive and a joy to listen to. Her effortlessly cool voice sits perfectly balanced on top of Ben and Joe’s backing, and what a sound they make. In 20 odd years in the music industry, I’ve rarely seen 2 people connect more on stage and be so creative with their instrumentation and arrangements. They make stripped back drums and acoustic guitar feel like you’re listening to a 5 piece band, through some of the smoothest, funkiest, most head bobbing-est playing I’ve seen in a long time. Hugely engaging to watch on stage, they put a smile on every face in the audience without fail. I could watch ’em all night.

The Collective, a 3 piece of guitar, female vocalist and drum, hit the nail on the head and provided our event with the perfect live music, really complementing the style of the evening. They set a relaxed and soulful mood with their easy to listen style and repertoire. The singer is a music teacher, knows her stuff and has a beautiful voice. They were reliable and professional to work with and we received many compliments about the band both on the night and after. We look forward to working with them again in the future and cannot recommend them highly enough.

We booked The Collective for our Wedding Anniversary and they were AMAZING! Thank you so much you really made it special. Would recommend to anyone looking for live music. These guys (and lady) are some of the best musicians I’ve seen in a long time.
