Vintage Rhythm & Blues Band

The Vintage Rhythm & Blues Band consists of female vocals, and a fabulous backing band on Guitar, Sax/Harmonica, Drums, and Double Bass.

The band are influenced by the femme fatale collective of the 1950’s Rhythm & Blues, Swing and Blues legends such as Ruth Brown, LaVern Baker, Big Maybelle, Mary Ann Fisher, Big Mama Thornton and Varetta Dillard as well as Howlin Wolf, Little Richard (Fatale in his own deadly way) and the queen of Chicago Blues Koko Taylor.

About The Band

This eclectic mix of artists feature in their sets guaranteed to keep your feet stomping, hips and arms swinging all through the night until the early morn! It’s not to be missed. They have a wide repertoire that covers Rhythm & Blues, Rock n Roll, Jazzy Swing, Blues and Rockabilly all from the 1950's. They never fail to get the crowd jumping with their infectious rhythm and musicianship.

The band delivered an amazing set of 50’s covers at my Event Hawaiian Bop. Betty was a wonderful charming & confident lead singer. The band delivered the tunes with ease & played some great solo’s. I highly recommend the band for authentic vintage events & can also please any crowd who may not know the tunes such as festivals or parties in parks.

Vintage Night

Professional, fun and excellent musicians, this band is superb in every way. They played a selection of high-energy, swinging tunes which got everyone up and dancing. Betty was adept at sensing what got people moving and tailored the music accordingly, making for a fun night for everyone. I might have to plan another party just so I can hire them again.

Can’t recommend this band enough, they are fantastic. We wanted to add the wow factor to my dad’s surprise 70th and they certainly did that. Everyone was on the dance floor from the first song and I had nothing but compliments from the guests about the music. They were friendly and professional and I would definitely book them again.
